We wanted to let you know about an exciting new development at NSPC.
We are very aware that many of you will have been going through difficult times in the context of the global pandemic. We have been considering how best to respond to the needs of our students and we are now pleased to be able to offer The NSPC Pastoral Care Support Service.
Pastoral care involves listening without judging, trying to understand and helping people find meaning and a way through the challenges they face.
It is not about giving advice, providing therapy, offering academic support or registering complaints.
One of our Pastoral Care MA students will be offering free pastoral support to students facing challenges in relation to loss, bereavement, illness, anxiety, change or anything else you’d like to have a confidential chat about.
Whether you are currently in therapy or not, pastoral care offers you the opportunity to talk and be heard in a safe and confidential space – the space will, of course, be virtual at the moment and you can choose to communicate via Zoom, phone, email or message.
If you’d like to find out more about pastoral care, or arrange a chat, please contact Pip Hardy in confidence on pip.hardy@nspc.org.uk
